Can anyone tell me why his shell looks like this ??!?? It wasn't like this when I got him and it just recently started doing it , it almost looks like his plastron is turning like a hot pink and I'm not sure why

Looks fine to me.

My RES's plastron has a pinkish tinge to it too, but my vet wasn't worried about it, and his blood tests were in the normal range. I think I read that it can happen when they slide on rough surfaces, but I can't say for sure.

That's what Steve said too , I think it might be my zoomed basking Dock :/ I'm making a new basking area and my one RES was like that too but it went away . I'm just an over worried turtle mom !

Your turtle is fine. It doesn't look like anything to worry about to me. I do own one.

FINALLY! My Mississippi map turtle's shell was so pretty! After a while the whole bottom is turning a hot pink just like yours! Its not rot because my turtle basks a lot. Making a new basking dock tonight.

Yea I was freaking out ! Like he used to be so pretty and now this ! I was frustrated , come to find out it's my zoomed basking dock irratating his plastron !
