Actually, outbox means it has not been read.

How big is he? Was he eating before you got him?

Have you tried all the solutions on the entice eating page? Maybe the pedialyte bath to give some nutrients? Try searching pedialyte or babylyte bath. Make sure you understand fully what your doing before you perform any therapy etc... Hope it works out.

Have you tried the pedialyte bath? I remember it helping someone in an area without reptile vets. Or maybe you can go to a pharmacy and ask for a non-needle syringe. Not exactly sure what it's called. Liquify or puree some food, suck it up in the syringe. and gently poke it around its mouth. Wait for it to bite and shoot it down its throat. I'm new to this turtle thing myself, but you can't see a qualified vet and you have no other options, except to wait.??? I dunno I'm sorry, wish I could say something that would help you..

What size enclosure do you have? What is the temperature of the water and the basking area? Is he basking? Does he go into the water? A bath in a pedialyte solution solution sounds like a good idea right now. Make a solution with half pedialyte and half water warm or room temperature water. Put the turtle in the solution only so it goes half way up the shell. I think you leave him in there for a half hour. Unless we know the exact situation the turtles living in we really can't help. In Steve's signature click on the part that says (Click here before you post a new topic in URGENT CARE) Answer those questions then we can try to figure out what's going on.

whats 'A bath in a pedialyte solution'? whats pedialyte solution? can you get it in a pet shop?

In Jakarta, only a few people have pets, so a qualified vet is rare here. But i'll try finding one.
thank you richieboy, i'll try the sryinge idea.

he's not basking, he stays in his underwater cave all the time. he wont eat since i got him, its like a month now. he's eye is swollen. 2 weeks ago, only 1 eye was swollen, the other one still can open half. but now both of them are swollen and he cant open them both. he's more active if i put him in a warmer water(he start to walk a little), but he still wont eat.

if you have any advice in what i should do, please tell me. he's really weak now and he wont eat.

Pedialyte is what is given to children who have diarrhea. It or something similar can be found in drugstores and some grocery stores. You can also apply some cod-liver oil to they eyes, that sometimes helps with a vitamin deficiency. That can be found in drugstores and health stores. Good luck!

To get a turtle to eat , I SWEAR by Jello-shots. (probably not the kind you may be thinking of!)

The recipe is the first topic of the "Feeding and Nutrition" section.

It really worked for me....Good Luck!

You don't need any flavored one... if you go to a drug store, they should know the type of medicine you're looking for. Remember to dilute it, half pedialyte and half water.
