Urgent Care :: Help please I don't know whats up ( dry shell pic added)

hey guys I have a 3 year old male RES and his shell is flakeing. I don't know the reason for this and i'm worryed about him can anybody maybe tell me what this could be.

I don't have a good camra but it's almost like dry skin. I don't know if it is from shedding or if he is sick.

It sounds like normal shedding but post a picture just in case.

He is probably just shedding very thinly from hsi shell, If he otherwise seems perfectly healthy and normal I say there is nthing to worry about

he is 3 and I'm gonna have to find the box for the light to tell you for sure.

o the light is about 6 months old. does that make a diff?

What brand of UVB light is it?

Regular UVB lights need to be changed every 6 - 8 months. The UVB rays they emit weaken over time with use. Perhaps the light you're using is no longer strong enough for your turtle to get maximum benefit from it.
