Hi I tried searching the forums but based on the pictures I could not find something similar. Basically I noticed a white patch which looks like peeling skin so maybe he injured himself? But on the other hand from what I read it could be a fungal infection. Its been 2 weeks and it hasn't gotten better. I am soaking him in repti turtle sulfa dip and have completely washed his tank. I don't know if its just skin peeling/injury or if its a fungal infection so not sure if I should also do the neosporin and dry docking thing thing I read. Below are the pictures and info about his habitat:

Does he share a tank with another turtle?

That looks just like a little injury that's often caused by a sharp point on the little scute on the carapace just behind the turtle's head. However, in the photos, it doesn't look like there's any sharp point to be making the injury on your turtle.

The other thing that comes to mind is a bite by another turtle.

If neither of those things is the cause, it still looks like a little injury of some sort. I'd clean it off with a q tip moistened with clean water or a little hydrogen peroxide, then apply a little neosporin with another clean q tip. Let the neosporin soak in for around 20 minutes before putting him back in the water. Repeat a couple of times a day until he's all healed up.

Could be just normal shedding of the skin.I don't see any flesh wound from the pic.
Try rubbing it gently with a Q-tip.If it comes off you solved your problem pretty quick.
If not, then go with all the other options.

He does share a tank from a similar sized turtle. I've never seen them fight but its a possibility. I guess it may be time to separate them. THanks for the advice guys, I'll do the neosporin thing on his wound. I'm glad its not a fungal infection.

First probelm is you need a bigger tank... two turtles almost 5inches should be in a 100 gallon tank. It could be a injury from the other turtle since there is not enough room for them.
