Habitat - Indoor :: Algae?

I have some rocks in my turtle tank from lake powell. its been in there for 2 months and its growing algae or something green on the rocks.

It dosent look like the kind that you see on land but it looks like sprinles? is this safe? should i be concerned?

It won't hurt anything. Sometimes it looks kind of pretty. As long as it's not just taking over it's ok.

Algae is really a problem when it "blooms" in the water and turns the water into pea soup. That's a sign that there's sunlight on the tank and/or too much nuitriants in the tank from water that's not clean or turtles that are fed too much.

I agree with SpotsMama it does look nice but if you dont think so than just scrub it off with an old toothbrush and water.
