General Care Discussion :: Does my turtle have Respiratory infection

My Res turtle is 5 years old, and when ever I pick him up he opens his mouth and makes a weird noise. It sounds like a human gasping. That is the only symptom, is it Respiratory infection?

Maybe its a hiss and he doesn't like being picked up? Is he only making this noise when you pick him up?
