Hi all, not sure if anyone of you has encounter, terrapin swim halfway suddenly close its eyes and floating in water with limps stretched out. When I go touched, it was stiff.. I quickly carry out my res, and with few pokings. Ninja woke up!! What a scare.. But anyone of you knows what happened??

My turtles sometimes like to float around at the surface, too. I think that's their form of relaxation; it's probably nothing to worry about.

That's scary. Brixie has never done anything like that.

Maybe you could take a video next time it happens?

I might assume that it could be caused by lower water temperatures, but temporary death seems obscure.

None of my turtles have ever done this.

The scary part is the stiff limbs.. Even when I carry Ninja out, she didn't wake up until seconds later..

I hope I won't see it again.
