Habitat - Indoor :: Tank setup problems

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Well today nitrites were still around 5.0 and the water is still cloudy. It doesn't stink though. Should I try some accu clear, a water change, or just keep waiting on the cycle?

Ok nitrites plummeted to 0 today. So I think I'm cycled. Gotta do a water change and filter clean because the water is still cloudy but I think I'm good

Just remember to dechlorinate the water for the water change and cleaning the filter!

Great news!

Did you check nitrate readings before the water change?

I've never experienced a cloudiness issue, so I can't comment informatively. Is it a white cloudiness or green? Is it possible you have an algae bloom instead of bacterial?

It's white def not algae. It's very faint but you can see the water has a white tinge to it Yes I did a nitrate reading it was a little above the mid scale like between 20-40

Ok so, the tank is cycled, PH is showing around a 7.6 on the first scale and a 7.4 on the high range scale. The ammonia is showing 0. The nitrite is showing 0 and the nitrate is showing 10-20ppm. I still have a little bit of a milky cloudiness to the water and I don't know what is causing it. I use no substrate. I have tried api accu clear with no success, so I'm guessing it's not suspended particles. I'm lost on what to do. It's a 125 gallon with an FX6 filter.

Also, what is the suggestion on water changes after cycling? How much and how often?

Should I repost this question seperate since it's buried in my cycling issues post?
