Feeding and Nutrition :: My RES wont eat veggies!

I sometimes do that too, but one day I watched and my turtle would rip the lettuce to shreds and half of it would get sucked into the FX5's intake. wasn't eating as much of it as I thought.

With the clip, a piece is ripped off, it's chased and consumed.

No FX5 for me. I have a XP3, maybe one day. I hope.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I bought that as a backup but have never used it. For those new to veggie clips... it's best to use it when your turtles are new to plants or reluctant to eat them. They'll likely nibble on the veggies but if they eat it right away, you don't need to use the clip.

You can substitute it for red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce or dandelion leaves.

i made the shots.. but still, it wont eat em. I dont know what or how else to try to feed veggies to my Turtle..

Is he still eating his other foods?

he eats pellets and crickets, every now n then.

Try using some aquatic plants with the veggie clips. If he doesn't eat those, they'll still live in your tank.
