So I was getting ready to get the 150 gal tank when my landlord told me that my foundation/floors is weak and will not support it. They need a bigger tank! I don't know what to do :(. He refuses to put braces under the house because there is no concrete under there. (Very old house). They are two large full grown turtles. I don't want them outside ..there are too many kids/strays around here and winters are rough

the absolute smallest is prob a 150 gallon and thats if they are both males. are u allowed to use the basement? have you considered a stock tank down there? or perhaps find another place to live (finding another place is a little ridiculous tho)

There is no basement :(. Moving is definitely not an option.

Yes, Bad foundation under the house. My boss is going to take a look at it and see if he can build braces for me :D

This would obviously be so hard to do, but maybe giving up one turtle to adoption would be an option.

I tried that because I thought I was moving across the country..but had a change of plans. No one wanted them lol. It won't be hard for them to build.. they do similar work every day.. plus he has built the braces before at his own house. I hope it works out :D

YAY!!! Problem solved. They are getting a 2 foot tall 6 foot long 180 gal tank :). He said it would be much easier to brace since its so short and the weight is spread out :D
