New here. My hubby and I got these guys at a pet store. We were told that they were RES's, but after some research and noticing that our babies are missing some RED ears, we are now wondering what these guys really are... we know that they are males, no idea how old...

here is Boj

I like how the red has totally faded from the head, iv had a few like that before, makes them look really unique. Welcome to the site and nice turtle! :)

Welcome! I for once can actually see your photos, and usually I can't. Sorry about your luck this time Steve, lol.

They appear to be either a yellow belly slider or a cooter of some sort. I'm not the best at telling the difference between those 2 species. They share most of the same needs as a RES tho, so the information on this site will still be useful to you and your new babies. I can try to find out for sure for you what species they are from another forum I frequent. Might take a day or 2.

I got my turtle at petco. Not sure of anything locally to you since im not in your area. You could look up breeders in your area or even try places like kingsnake.com to find a breeder.

Oh wow!.. Seeing your turtles and your question, I wonder if our 2 are actually true RES as they look more like yours!..
