Hello,

Got a 30 gallon (120 liter) aquarium, am looking at a few filters:

- the ecco pro 200, suitable up to 200 liter (52 gallon) they say. (158 gallon per hour)
- ecco pro 300, suitable up to 300 liter (79 gallon) (200 gallon per hour)
- or eheim professional I 2224 suitable up to 250 liter (66 gallon) (185 gallon per hour)

Or are those last two to much for this aquarium? I'm looking for a low wattage filter.

Which one would you choose? Right now i have a 80 gallon per hour (hydor 10) filter, but it doesn't filter even half that fast any more.. so the water is dirty.

The tank still has room for more water up to 200 liter (52 gallon). But right now there's just a turtle in there that can't seem to swim. Got it from someone who neglected it for years. Been some time but he just keeps standing on his hind legs to get some air, that's why I'm not filling it more at the moment (if ever...)

you want a filter that is rated 3 times your tank. so you have a 30 gallon tank so you want a filter for a 90 gallon tank. but because your tank is only 30 gallons and your turtle will outgrow it very fast, you are gonna want to go as big as you possibly can. so maybe a rena xp3 or a different canister filter
