I'd say pay the little bit extra for the large one since you'll eventually need it. Cody loves this ramp, he even sleeps on the bottom half that is underwater. I was watching him the other day with it its angled perfectly for him to just fully swim up the ramp til his feet land to walk the extra way up. He also seems to love the fact that he can reposition himself up there, unlike his turtle ramp from zoomed where if he tried to turn around he ended up with his arse in the water lol.

Yeah I have the zoomed dock and he is just about sinking it, lol. I have limited space so I just bought a 20 gallon. Would the large one fit in the 20 gallon long tank?

Dimensions of the total thing are listed as 16" long x 11" wide. So as long as your tank is at least 16" long and at least 11" wide it should work for you. hope this helps

Medium one is 12" long X 6 1/2" wide, in case the large one doesn't fit your tank.

I'd say go with the large one. It will fit in a 20 long, but you have to turn it on its side to get it past the top lip of the tank.
Bowser is just now 5 inches and barely fits on the large dock, so yeah.

i really like this dock and story. Miss Bowser looks very content on her dock. how long do you normally keep her light on per 24 hours? Both my turtles were basking/sleeping when the timer turned off the lights on them at 10pm. I felt bad and almost turned it back on. They stayed up there for 10 minutes or so in the dark.
I have two female red ear sliders.

Her lights stay on for around 14 hours on a normal day. We turn them off when we're gone, so some days (like today) she only has a few hours.
But yeah, she likes to stay up there well after I turn the lights off.

I just got this dock a couple of weeks ago for my turtles. Gives them so much more room to bask and they love it! They are also around 3 and 4 inches.

The suction cups are really strong (which makes the dock difficult to remove unless you use a plastic knife or something).
But they do sell replacement ones for pretty cheap:

The large dock takes 6 suction cups.

Ya these suction cups are amazingly strong lol takes alot of work to take the ramp out i usually end up sliding the ramp on its grooves and then removing the cups once the ramp is out of the tank. Makes it easier imo.
