Ask the sales person how much weight it can hold if you're buying it in a store. There are websites that list the weight of a full aquarium by tank size.

Yeah, the 10g I've got is the Topfin from Petsmart.
I wonder, how much does a proper 10g stand cost? I would imagine you could find a proper stand for about the same price as that table?

ive put a 10,15, and 5 all on bookselves that where only about an inch thick. one had the 15 and 5 at the same time.

just something for comparison. i have a 30 on a TV stand.

I once put my old ten gallon, filled almost all the way, on a cabinet unit. I don't know how to spell it's name but it's one of those things with a two door cabinet, and two drawers below it.

why dont you build your own table? its not hard, and it honestly doesnt need to be pretty.. you can probably find a pattern on the internet. my brother built his own stand for his 75gal tank.

When I got Squirt's 30 gallon tank, I didn't have a stand. So I went to the thrift store and bought a large solid wooden night stand for $4 and put it on there, LOL. That night stand is solid as a rock. And it has double doors to hold all my stuff for him. Worked great, and couldn't beat the price.

Start browsing the Salvation Army or local thrift stores, and look for a solid wood night stand or dresser for cheap.

I can attest to this. Last fall I was in the Sallies (Salvation Army) and happened upon a plastic storage bin with a Fluval 304 in the box along with an assortment of other boxes. The boxes contained brand new carbon media that could be used in a number of other filters (some of which I have) along with some boxes of biomedia. The price on the container was $29.99, but I got everything for $15.00. I've never used the filter, but I won't be ordering carbon or biomedia for a long time to come.

I went to ikea today and i ended up buying

it will do for now i honisly could not find anything at my local thrift store for a bargon!!

The max load is 99pounds it will do fine for my 10 gallon and i can finally fill it to the approte level!! But for my furture 20gallon wode tank i will need new table and filter ect.

I will post new pictures of my proper tank laterrrr..!!
