Man I just can't get rid of the crappy water smell. I have a 15 gallons with a 1inch res in it. My filter hooked up to it is a 350gph filter. The water is crystal clear, but still it stinks. I have put the chlorine and amonia drops in the water and even put in filtered water, not just water straight from the tap. This is getting old fast.

How long has the filter been in the tank? The water might be crystal clean doesn't mean it's actually clean, it might still has bacteria in the water.

Your tank might just be cycling. You can do partial water changes every day, even twice a day and the smell should go down. Don't change all the water though, only about 20%. I find that charcoal in my filter helps with the smell too.
