Unfortunately the blitz makes it a bit yellowish, it is actually white…as white as cuttle bone. You can see that the cuttle bone she ate isn’t fully digested. And if you look that orange color, that was her carrot from 4 days ago.

Is something wrong with her stomach?

Today’s poop is already green again but there are still some patches of white.

Is the cuttle bone not in good quality anymore? Or is she eating too many cuttle bones?

I didn’t give her any cuttle bone today. As a comparison, Kroten also eats the same cuttle bone and nothing’s wrong with her poop.

Kame was infected with Koksidia (kind of bacteria) two years ago…but she was already cured. I went to the vet at that time. Could it be the same bacteria again?

Thank you for your help.

Remember that this could always be an isolated incidence, maybe something caused her to poo prematurely before it could be digested or something.

1) Did you remember to remove the hard backing from the cuttlebone?
2) Was it the same cuttlebone (like brand/packaging) that you usually feed?
3) Do you feed your cuttlebone in full size or do you break it into head-sized pieces?
4) Is there anything else in the tank (like gravel, stones, decorations, etc.) that she might have eaten?

I would just keep an eye on her for now and see if it happens again. Maybe also up the lettuce content of her diet for a few days to get whatever is in her belly to pass out more quickly.

1. Yes I always removed the backing before giving it to her.

2. Indonesian shop doesn't sell cuttle bone in brand, but I bought it from the same store all the time.

3. head size and once every 2 days.

4. No gravel, Kame's tank is clean, I won't put anything inside it because I don't want her to eat it.

I do hope this is just a one thing moment...I haven't given her cuttle bone again.

But notice the carrot? it was from 4days ago

It can take a while for food to move through the digestive tract. I can see the carrot in the poop, but some of the red in the lower portion of the the stool looks like blood...There has been none of this in the stool since?

Nope it's not blood...like I said the blitz from the camera changed a bit of it's actual look.

I squeezed it after taking the picture and looked closely for blood.

Not yet ever since I took that picture...but I haven't given her any cuttle bone either...I am too afraid to give it, so I withhold my self for now.

You might want to consider switching to a powdered calcium intake instead, if you are concerned about giving cuttlebone. You can just grind up the cuttlebone and put it into those turtle jello shots.

Yep, gelatin is gelatin, just look for a high-quality product if you can find it, something that is safe for human consumption.
