How does one go about buying a water plant and getting seeds from that plant its self? Are they fairly easy to grow in like a 20 gal tank?

You can easily go to the pet store and pick up some water plants. I bought a batch of 12 Anachasis for 3 dollars each at PetSmart. That's cheaper then the price they sell fake plants for (at the pet store).

Really? i didnt think live water plants were that cheap. I think I will pick some up 2marrow. Do they reproduce if you leave them in a tank?

for the plants to grow u need a plant light or ur uvb bulb should work. but the odds of u growing them in a tank WITH a turtle are pretty much 0. they will eat them too fast. im in the process of setting up a planted tank and should have it up and running tomorrow. if u want to make a planted tank u need a substarte like flourite and to put fish in the tank to the plants have waste to break down and use to grow. it makes it easy to double this tank as a guppy/molly or some other live bearing fish breeding tank
