Okay I have 2 RES...They are both about maybe 2-3in...and they are in a 10 gal tank (i know its too small but i don't have the money to buy a bigger one...any ideas on that?) and i have 2...yes 2 10-30 gal reptifilters in the tank, but i still seem to be changing the water every other day, and it's starting to get frustrating. what am i doing wrong...orrrrr do i just need to get a bigger tank because they are too big for the one they are in? HELLPPP!

keeping good water quality in a tank that small is near impossible no matter how many filters you use. You should check craigslist and get something bigger for cheap. Look on the bright side, you already got enough filters for a 55gal

As long as your doing water changes the turtles will be okay. If you were keeping fish in there that would be another story. Yeah the one I'm talking about is a starter kit so disregard that, my bad, it has a lot of money in gravel that you won't be using. Those filters that come with it are really good for growing good bacteria though. Well if you work at a walmart then I know you can get on craigslist, that is the place to buy a tank. I had $100 and got on there looking for a good 40 to 55 gallon tank. I ended up paying $75 for a 6ft 100gal!!! I gave him the other $25 just to bring the monster to me. YOu can find a great deal on there.

You should look into a large rubbermaid container - they're much cheaper than glass tanks.

Yeah, keep your eyes on Craigslist. I found our 75 gal. tank along with large fish filter and heater for $100!

You should also see if your area has a Freecycle group (www.freecycle.org). It's like Craigslist, only all the stuff is free! I posted online for my area's group saying I needed a tank, and someone gave me a 20g with filter, extra lights, etc. I have to upgrade the filter and so on, but getting the tank for free definitely helped me out! Give it a try :)

Reptofilters are a waste of money. They're too small for any size turtle. That was the first filter i got as well when i didn't know better.
