I got a water lettuce for my turtl's tank for decoration and i heard it can absorb ammonia. But my turtle just devour it when i put it in her tank. What can i do to stop that?

Not much you can do unless your tank has a divider.

yes you should be able to grow them back they where just essentially "mowed " (yes like a lawn)by your turtle..so steves advice is great get some eggrate at lows and make a small section for your plants ...tear some off once in a wile and give it to her to eat :)
