I just got a Magnum 350 Canister filter and think everything is set up correctly but my intake isn't working and I really need to know what to do as I have no backup filtration except for a small internal. I would call the company but they are only open M-F...go figure...Can anyone help me? I have absolutely no experience with canister filters!!

Sorry for the late response. You need to make sure that the filter is primed before turning it on.

It's OK...I appreciate the response...That's what I'm trying to do is prime it to start it

I got the intake working but now there is no output of water

I set it up as per directed and it is sucking water in but the output isn't working at all. I filled it half full with water as it said to and turned it on for 10 seconds as it said to shut it off to wait for the air bubbles to stop before turning it back on but the canister overflowed before the air bubbles stopped
Any idea what is going on and how to fix it? Any help is much appreciated.

Also I have it on the ground under the tank...I'm going to try raising it up a little bit and see if that helps...Do I need to put water in the output tube before I start it(the instructions don't tell me too)

Uggg...I've never used a canister filter and at this point is all I am doing is amusing my cat when the canister starts spraying out water!!!

I'm not familiar with that canister. Are the flow regulators in the on position?

hey i had the same problem with my filter i was freaking out that it wasnt working...you have to fill the water all the way up to the top and pour a cup of water inside the filter for it to start working then gradually take water out and the filter should still work
