Urgent Care :: need some help

i have to ask for some help. my turtle got some respiratory problems.she's sneezing and making bubbles under water. I took her to the vet and he prescribed some antibiotic.. the problem is that i can't put her those nose drops. she's totally terrified when she's seeing them in my hand. the vet put them by holding her in the air and pulling her by the neck ..is there any other possible way to do that .. i really don't think i'm able to pull her this way.

I think that if you hold the drops in the air above her head, without moving much she will eventually extend her head little by little. It's worth a try. Maybe someone else has more ideas.

I've never heard of nose drops for turtles. I always hear of vets prescribing antibiotic injections. If the drops don't work, you may want to consider bringing it to his attention.

maybe my trick of giving eye drops may work for the nose drops..i held him upright like the vet showed and put my finger behind his head kinda along his shell part but slightly touching his head and after a minute or two he put back his head to rub my finger away and thats when i got him!!!! maybe u could try that for his nose as his head will be facing up?? i havent heard of nosedrops either tho but maybe they are only prescribed if the turt is sneezing like yours was!

I think nose drops or eye drops are the same thing. They both put out liquid in
droplets. The turtle may be too small for injection. My turtle Ramen got RI and
I had to administer the antibiotic using the drops. At that time, I had to force open
the mouth using a toothpick. I figured that's worth a try compared to letting the
turtle died from RI. However, if you can coax the turtle to open its mouth
somehow, that would be better.

A suggestion is to hold the turtle vertically, head on top. Push the hind legs in
and perhaps the head will come out, hopefully with mouth open too. That's when
you put in some droplets.

the drops are some antibiotic, and she should breath them. now the biggest problem is the fact that the turtle is already traumatized by the doctor's procedure(putting a finger next 2 the head and forcing her head a bit out and that catching her) and now she gets aggressive or very scared even even if i only get close 2 her head, and also when she sees the drops container. can't the drops be put in the water? or some other way? i understood that the biggest problem on turtles is depression, and scaring them can cause this. she is not very sick, she just sneezed twice two days ago. we went to the vet mostly for some advice, how warm should be the water and room temperature now, should she take some vitamins, so on. i'm sorry i'm just confused and i wouldn't like 2 cause her worse

Well my turtle was fine when i did it the way i detailed above, i suppose it depends on the turtle and that was after the vet, i had to do it straight away. So im of no other help anyway. Best of luck.

water temperature should be 82-85 F. air temperature should be the same or warmer.

took some vitamins yesterday..giving them in her food.. she's eating with quite an appetite,after few days in which she was refusing to touch the food. i didn't hear her sneezing lately, and i didn't terrorized her more with the drops,just keeping the water temp bit higher.her aquarium got broken,and she's waiting for her new one,which she'll receive in monday..for now she's quite active whenever she's not sleeping under my arm (she's requesting so much for attention..and always coming to my bed to get warm). i really believe she's getting better. thank you for the help guys..
