Hi everyone,
Anyone have any experience with filter heaters? If so likes/dislikes, brand, type, cost, where you brought it, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Few people have experience with either, but I think the Hydro Inline header is the more popular one. Rena also makes one for the XP series, otherwise make sure the hoses fit.

I use the Hydor ETH inline heater in an aquarium. They do work great but the largest model is only 300 Watts - not enough to heat a very large turtle tank for adult turtles. The Hydor ETH connects to 5/16 or 16mm hose. This is the standard Ehiem green hose. Other manufactures might use this size but I know for certain that the Hydor ETH connects to Ehiem hosing.

How large is "very large"? 125+ gallons? or more?

The 300 watt is rated for 53-80 gal tank size.
