Urgent Care :: lopsided swimming

That's what I was thinking Marisa. Hopefully I caught it early enough where he wasn't showing any other symptoms, only the lopsided swimming. The breathing does look like a bullfrogs breathing so that is a relief.

He is still very active and eating normally, no other symptoms yet. Still swimming lopsided but not as much as in the last days.

I'll keep watching him closely and provide updates.

turtle is still very active and eating normally and still no other symptoms, but still swimming a little lopsided although, not as much as in days past. I have also notice lately that he is producing a lot of bubbles while he is submerged. Is this also an indication of RI?

While in water? No, it's not a symptom.

They will let out bubbles underwater when they submerge or are submerged (they're letting air out of the lungs). (Often frothy) bubbles coming from the mouth or nose when a turtle is out of the water/basking are a source of concern.

Do keep an eye on that lopsided swimming and keep him warm. If it's an infection and isn't completely eradicated, it will come back...

my turtle puffs up the throat too with the mouth closed. i have no clue why and i am really worried. also, it doesn appear to want to eat... are turtle picky eaters? they won't even eat the boiled chicken.
