I see there's a few ppl here from new york city, so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy a stock tank? Buying a 100 gallon aquarium is too much trouble for apartment life for my 9 inch turtle.

The only place I found one was at an Agway. You might have an easier time in NJ and SI. Just look for places that sell farm supplies. Just a note... you won't be finding a great deal... I think a 100 gallon was around $80-100 when I was looking.

I would check out craigslist or freecycle for a regular aquarium. I've seen people use preformed ponds indoors maybe you could do something with that; they sell those at Home Depot.

they say i can order it and pick it up from a participating store, the closest being on 3rd ave and E. 88 street

anyone ever deal with this company or this ordering process? i try not to buy anything online because i don't trust it, but if i have to ill take a chance

You should do just fine ordering from doitbest.com. That's a huge national hardware store chain. I've never bought anything online from them, but I've certainly been to their stores and never had a problem.

HOWEVER, if you prefer not to order things online, you could just go to that store in person and ask them to order it. You probably won't be charged shipping if you go into the store to order it, which is nice.
