my father bought me some turtle stuff today and
that happened to be somethign he bought..i don't
think he really knew what it was..and i don't know either.

is it safe to use?
and does anyone know exactly what it does?

It's a pretty dilute anti-bacterial/ anti-fungal dip. It's not good to use regularly because it's really not strong enough for most ailments but it can make your turtle immune to sulfa, which is a common treatment when used correctly.

Doesn't it tell you on the box what it's for? It's supposedly used to treat fungus, and to me it's effectiveness is doubtful. If your turtle doesn't have any fungus issues, don't bother to use it. Actually, why don't you take it back and get something your turtle can use (like cuttlebone, etc.)?

my dad threw the box :l
he took everything out of its boxes and put it in
my storage for the turtle stuff to "surprise" me.

but yeah i won't use it.
i'll see if he has the box somewhere wtih a receipt.

haha yeah. i don't know why he randomly does these things.
we found this 125 gallon aquarium with a stand on craigslist today
and i'm pretty sure he's going to buy it for me :D
only 350 dollars. its a steal at that price if you ask me.

yeah it is. my dad and i have been thinking about getting a 240 gal tank. mom doesnt want one though so were still trying to win her over. i bet your excited to get that tank. hope it works out!

yeah. my moms EXTREMELY skeptical about having a 125 gallon tank in the house. i'd have to keep it in my bedroom and its like 6 feet long. haha its insane. i'm really really excited. i just need to come up wiht money for more filters and heaters D:

would two heaters made for 55-60 gallons each work for heating the larger tank?

i think that would work. you would just have to keep an eye on the temp the first few days till you get it dialed in right
