Urgent Care :: Spaz is Spazing out .

I hate the use that term but I have no other word to use . My turtle like like swimming around in circles really fast. Also he seems not to seems not to be level as he swims . And like he is like digging in the stones to . It is odd.

how big is you're Spaz? Male or female? Age? Any pills he might have gotten to?

If over 4 inches, an adult female, she might be trying to lay her eggs, If so get a container filled with dirt or sand and sit her in it for a while and see if she does, if you do not do this, the eggs could crack inside of her, and this can sometimes be fatal, what brings me to beleive this may be the case is the digging, but not sure.

I don't no his sex . He is just a little thing. He is like inch and 1/4 . And he is like 90 days or so . Also it seems like he is jumping about like your Raphael. and no pills near him.

Also I have been gone for a week and now that I am back there is like this green stuff on the walls.

About the green stuff on the walls that seems to be algae. from non proper cleaning.

Okay, that helped a lot, first your answer to "Are you using a water conditioner" was a "no" so your not using anything to remove chlorine form your water? If not is it tap water? If it is tap water then that is a problem. Another one that caught my mind was "Is it next to a window?" which was a "Yes" and that is your problem with the Algae build up on your walls. Another question "What have you been trying to feed it?" you're answer was "Sticks" (Or pellets) i am assuming, you need more of a variety, cuttle bone, butter lettuce, protein (Dead or live). Everything else sounds okay for now. And your turtle is definitely not trying to lay eggs, do yo his size, so maybe this is just an active turtle doe he/she eat? For a couple of months old turtle he/she seems very small. Maybe due to the lack of protein in his diet, or variety.

Hm... That may or may not be good.. I am not sure, but my turtle doesn't sleep with the lights on.. So maybe you have a problem there..

The light was one for a while because I was going to leave for 2 days and was gone for a week .

I use well water so I don't have chlorine.
This is the first time I have seen the alga ever , so could it be bc the light?

He eats a lot.

Oh that Raphael... Lol sorry i was confused, but the algae is because its close to the window, natural sunlight does that. If you don't want to move the tank, buy some products from petsmart to get rid of aquarium algae. You might want to condition the water, just in case, its a cheap product anyway. You can find it at any local petstore. But it might just be him growing more active, try to diversify the diet a little by feeding him freeze dried or alive crickets or meal worms, or brine shrimp. No problem on my attempt to help, Thats all i can think of though!

You really should move the tank away from the window. Those light rays do nothing for your turtles except overheat their tank.
