She looks like an overweight turtle. How long has she looked like this? Can you show up a photo of her when she's not all tucked into her shell?

how big is she? is she being fed most of the day?
im a true slacker but when it comes to family, my slacking mood becomes a black force 24/7

pets: 2 red eared sliders
small fry (male) and kitty nails (female)

Yes, she looks kind of fat. What's her diet like? If you could tell us the pellet brand, number of pellets, frequency, any veggies, any fish or meat and we can see if it's a diet problem.

I adopted her about a month ago. She was really sick a pretty beat up. I nursed her back to health but now she is swollen. i feed her pellets retomin baby, she like gold fish to.

@Reel Girl: It could be the camera angle, but she looks a little thicker than most other turtles are.

@Clatise2124: How many pellets are you feeding? Is it everyday or every other day? And goldfish are actually very fattening, how often do you feed her those?

Is it just the neck area that looks a little strange (I don't see excess flesh around the limbs in the pic)? Can you get a better picture with the head out more?
