Hi there! My daughter and I are helping out a dear friend by taking in her turtles for a while (probably 6-12 months). We know extremely little about caring for these 2 turtles but suspect that their tiny tank without heater or filtration is NOT good. We inherited these turtles with NO instructions and no equipment except above-mentioned tank! I expect we'll be posting a bit after we read through all this great material!

Greetings! You're very kind to be helping out this way. You are right - it sounds like the little guys need a serious upgrade. After you've done some reading, ask away.

Hi and welcome. :) Nice of you to take your friend's turtles in temporarily. When you get into taking care of them, you may find it very difficult to give them back.

It feels so much better to know there are folks out there that know about RES and are willing to help us out! The basking area is a HUGE hit and it's so nice to see them relaxing in the heat! :)
