Feeding and Nutrition :: Romaine Lettuce

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Post Posted: Mon Sep 10, 2007 9:48 am   Romaine Lettuce

I give Duane romaine lettuce everyday and he (she?) loves it. I thought this was healthy, but on this website it says "moderate". If he is not supposed to have iceberg, what "green-leaf" lettuce is he supposed to have?
Just need clarification. Thanks.

Yeah both look similar in the store, and I find them in the same bin a lot of times. Sometimes the red leaf won't be that red on the tips, which makes them even tougher to tell apart.

Also, romaine is fine to feed, my turtle loves it. Iceberg (which is different from romaine) has such low nutritional value that's it's not really worth feeding.
