Habitat - Indoor :: Is my turtle basking to much?

I wake up in the morning and my new 2" turtle is basking and the lamp is not on yet. like every time i go in my room he is basking. am i just going in their when he just happens to be basking. one more thing, ok so i have a 1" turtle with my 2" and my 1" does not seem to bask as much i know he can get up their though. im confused. help.

What are the temps of the water and the basking spot, what size tank do you have? how much water is in there? Do you have UV light as well as heat?
