i dont really think its the air pump, but my bubble stick thing wont work right.
i had a small pump on it, but the whole stick wouldnt bubble. so i got a new pump, and it still wont work. only about 80% of the stick puts out bubbles. anything i can do to fix it?

It depends on how long the stick is and how deep it is in the water. The more surface area on the air wand, the more air volume your pump will need to put out. The deeper the water, the more pressure the pump must generate. Also the size of the bubbles that the air wand is supposed to produce will determine how much pressure the pump needs to be rated at. Finer bubbles require more pressure than coarse bubbles.

A very good air pump for high pressure use is the Tetra LuftG pump. Some of the bigger high volume pumps will work too, but their diaphrams will break if the pressure gets too high.

Sounds like the pump isn't strong enough to push the air all the way thru the stick. Try getting one of those plastic "T" connectors (very cheap, less than a buck) and connecting both pumps to it and see what happens.....If that doesnt work, try getting a smaller air-stone. Keep in mind the deeper the water and the larger the stone, you'll need a stronger pump.
