Screen Lid Crisis :(

im getting an xp3 filter and was wondering how im going to put the lid on with the tubes going into the tank! can i cut part of the lid off so the tubes dont interfere? and do they make screen lids with 1/2 inch holes?

sadly, I haven't found a screen lid that has holes that big. It is okay to cut a hole for the filter, but if you want the bigger mesh, I think right now it involves carpentry. someone should start making both those, and ready built above tank basking platforms. They'd make a fortune!
