Hi guys.

curently I have 2 baby turts in a 20 gallon tank that I hope to upgrade to 55 by the end of this year. I have a fluval 205 canister filter. Not very happy with it, luckily petsmart says I can exchange it for store credit, and would like to buy the xp seies. My mind is set on xp2, unless you guys think the xp3 is better. What I am worried about is if the high flow would knock my turtle off their feet.

If you're going to up-grade to a 55 gallon by the end of the year (it's only 5 months away), I'd get the XP3. You can lessen the current somewhat by using the spray bar that comes with it (rather than the spigot) and angling the outflow toward the wall of the tank.

I'd do the xp3 as well. To add to what was mentioned above, you are going to have to upgrade from the 55 gallons, and the xp3 could withstand another upgrade...the xp2 wouldn't. I upgraded to a 75 gallon tank when my turtles were about 6 months and bought the xp3...never had a problem with the current pushing the turtle around.

If I use the xp3 in the 20 gallon, do you guys hink that would be okey or do you think ha is too much for a small tank
