so i've had the same whisper filter (from walmart) for the past year+. i just cleaned it and now it won't turn back on. it's supposed to turn on by plugging it in (no on/off switch). and it's just... not.

any suggestions? (this is going to suck because i can't make it to the store til later today.)

i know someone who had that filter, it worked pretty good on a smaller fish tank, but it did the same thing, it just died without warning. if its for a turtle u might aswell get a stronger filter, if its for a with tank go to your LPS because there are more reliable filters out there than these

Leaving your tank for 12 hours will be ok, however, I would suggest a little water change when you start it up again.
