Its time for me to replace my RES MVB. I found a guy where I live that bought out a pet store that went out of buisness. He has about 20 brand new never been opened Fluker farms 160watt MVB bulbs. He offered me all of them for 200 dollars, or I can buy them for 25 bucks a piece. My question is has anybody here ever used the fluker farms MVB bulbs? Are they good bulbs? Thanks for the help in advance.

I do not see them listed: http://www.flukerfarms.com/heatingandlighting.aspx

But I would avoid it despite being a god deal. I'm not finding too much info out there about this and most people get the 100 watt versions.

There isint much info about them out there. I found them for sale as well on reptilesupply.com. http://www.reptilesupply.com/product.ph ... ts_id=2636 A friend of mine has several of the 160watts, and his turtles and tortoises are doing great.

From what I was able to find, these were introduced last year. Not sure why, but the product page on the Fluker was taken down so it might be discontinued.

As for others using it, I've found that they would not recommend it but would recommend either the TRex or MegaRay. That's not surprising since users of these brands are pretty loyal.

If you are planning to go with MVB, go with the best "Mega-Ray".

After doing a little research about the mega ray bulb, I might just go with th mega ray jozzep. Is reptileuv.com the only place you can find them?

ReptileUV.com is the Mega-Ray's official site.

The rest of the turtles have been adopted to good homes. :)

TRex and Megaray are made by the same company. Both are good.
