Filter Upgrade

My turtles have been living on our back porch for two years now, and my current filter system is becoming increasingly insufficient. It's a 100 gallon pond with a Magnum 350 acting as a pump for a make-shift filter I built myself a while back. But it frequently leaks and doesn't do a very good job keeping the water clean for my two RES. So, any suggestions on a new system? I've seen most of you have an xp3 or an xp4. Would an xp 4 do the job or would the xp3 suffice? Thanks!

100 gallons, I would go with a XP4 if you can, or better yet, a Fluval FX5. An XP3 might work, but I can't say for certain. Currently my XP3 is running on a 40 gallon tank, and it's awesome, but when I upgrade, I plan on seeing if it can handle, and if not, I'll be upgrading as well.

jaw-mrt -- The magnum is a good filter however it is a little undersized for a 100 gallon tank/pond. Keep in mind that you need a 5x water exchange to get the most from your filter. If you have a 100 gallon tank you will need the pump the water at least 500 gph to get the exchange you need to filtre your water. If your 350 magnum if salvagable you can add another one and get your gph up to 700 gph exchange with the proper media. Good Lucl! mike hill
