So I'm cleaning my painted turtles XP4 today. I go to take it apart and one of the latches breaks off. Looks like that little piece that it pivots on cracked on the round part and the side. Wasn't forceful or anything, hopefully super glue fixes it.

That sucks Rubicon.........
A few hundred dollar piece of equipment stopped by a little piece of broken plastic?!
Why can't they build things like they used to....To last.
I would try an epoxy for plastic more than a super glue. The Loctite syringe seems to work good for me.

That's a shame, sorry to hear it. If it's a locking mechanism, stiff super-glue might be your best bet. You don't want any air getting through the seal into the canister.

Hmm, that doesn't sound good. There's Rena replacement parts, you may be able to purchase just another canister. The motor should be the bulk of the expense anyways. You might even be able to find a used canister. Here's the website for replacements, looks like a new canister is $75, so I'd say if it's not leaking, keeping using the one you have!

Well the clamps pull off individually. So I was able to remove the two halves and super glue it back together. It's been working for 24hours now so I'm hoping she's good. But like above stated a sub $200 filter and the clamp breaks.
I build acrylic ATBAs.
