What size is your tank? That one filters 330 gph. Add that to whatever your 50 gallon filter pumps, and if together they pump at least 3x the gph, then you should be alright.

I usually reccommend a 5x exchange for turtle tanks. It seems to do well and keep the water very clean. I have a 300 gph of one 55 gallon and a 350 on another. The 350 seems to do a little better. When setting up a new tank most folks fall short on the gph filtration using some other number supplied by some pet store.

The link only brings me to a general page with a bunch of stuff on it, so can't tell what filter you're talking about.
Filters i have and can advise are penn plax cascade 1500, and hagen fluval 404/05.
The fluval would keep your 55 gallon clear as glass!

Is that a hang on tank filter? Does it make a lot of noise and does it pump 350 gpm. m.
