So um from my last thread many people advised me to use a canister filter so i' going to use my allowance( im only 16) and the birthday money to buy a new filter and i have my eye on the marineland c-360 and the rena xp2 since they are below/around $100 .So can you help me pick out a filter?
Also um i have a 40 gallon tank with like 15 guppies and a HOB tank

Get a Fluval 404. $85 new on ebay with media and free shipping. It's a sweet deal on a good filter. Pumps out 340gph, so you will be making a wise decision.

I'm telling you man. There's hundreds of people on here with Fluval Canisters. I myself have a 404 which when properly setup works GREAT.
Get the 404 off ebay for that great price and call it a day.

You just have to know what you are doing and when they are setup properly, they are great filters.
