Who uses them??

What brand?

Where to buy?

How much??

It's a pain in the butt to check the basking temp with the digital probe thermometer

I have one just like Steve's, only it's orange. I got it on Amazon for like $25.

Is it this one? http://www.amazon.com/Actron-CP7875-Poc ... 000FJR0SG/

Looks pretty nice. Add about $1 to your order and get free shipping :) Backlighting is nice too... I often check temps in the dark.

Yep, that's my cute little thermometer!! And free shipping is always awesome! Since it measures surface temps, it's great for basking areas and checking the oven!

Too bad they now have tax on NY orders :(

Chris, just remember that most of these need to be about 1" away from the surface they are measuring.
