Equipment Review and Discussion :: Nutrafin Turtle Clean possible issue

I think it is the Turtle Clean that has caused this... it is the only thing in the tank that has changed.

I ran out of one bottle and bought another. The issue started after this. I make sure to shake well and only put the reccomended amount in. A film-like substance is created on top of the water. It looks like something has seperated. It appears almost like oil and water.

Has anybody else experienced this, knows for sure what causes this or how to fix it?

I've never had a problem with the turtle clean before, perhaps I got a faulty bottle?

do you have a good filter? i dont think its from the turtle clean because i had that in my tank. i put an air stone in and it took care of it

You have to have something that will disturb the water otherwise it's stagnate.

I have a couple good filters. I've never had any problem before this or any sort of filtration problem before. Perhaps last time I cleaned it i moved the thing that shoots the clean water out so its not reaching anywhere near the top and keeping it still ...If that ramblyness made any sense... I'm very technical :p Thank you! I shall have a good look into the air stone

I moved the little water thing on the filter up just a bit and it has all dissapeared already. Thanks again very much!

I'd skip it... there is no real need for it.
