Various accessories and equipment discussed here.

I think it is the Turtle Clean that has caused this... it is the only thing in the tank that has changed.

I ran out of one bottle and bought another. The issue started after this. I make sure to shake well and only put the reccomended amount in. A film-like substance is created on top of the water. It looks like something has seperated. It appears almost like oil and water.

Attached is a picture that sort of shows it.

Has anybody else experienced this, knows for sure what causes this or how to fix it?

I've never had a problem with the turtle clean before, perhaps I got a faulty bottle?

I have a couple good filters. I've never had any problem before this or any sort of filtration problem before. Perhaps last time I cleaned it i moved the thing that shoots the clean water out so its not reaching anywhere near the top and keeping it still ...If that ramblyness made any sense... I'm very technical :p Thank you! I shall have a good look into the air stone :)

I moved the little water thing on the filter up just a bit and it has all dissapeared already. Thanks again very much!

re: Turtle Clean

I'd skip it... there is no real need for it.
