Hi, i know most people here are from the united states, but as i am living in Shanghai, does anyone know where they sell good equipment for turtles. Most of the equipment mentioned in this forum is almost impossible to find where i am, so if anyone has suggestions to get good equipment, thanks!

I'd ask local animal/herp organizations... perhaps they can offer you some tips.

well chrisbarnett, im looking for things like the zoo med turtle docks, reptomin and mazuri, some brands of uvb ive seen mentioned in the forum. So far, i havent found any of these brands, so i had to make do with some chinese ones that i dunno if theyre any good, esp. the food.
steve, i do not know any animal organizations here. I think this is because very few people have turtles here, mostly dogs and cats. Also, there are barely any reptile shops, only pet markets where the turtles sold are in extremely bad conditions.

Deon -- I have not a clue if any of the sites can or will ship to China. I do not know what the shipping would cost and if UPS or FED X can deliver it to you. There are certainly plenty of business that would ship you equipment if you pay for it in advance and if you could give them a shippable address. Good Luck!!

Deon---do you visit Hong Kong at all? You might be able to find some things in better pet shops (but not foods like Mazuri).

Also try contacting Kadoorie Farm (in HK) www.kfbg.org.hk They've rescued turtles in the past and would likely be able to tell you where to get supplies (if not what you read about here, something equivalent).

HK has loads of pet shops and there is a street dedicated to aquariums, at least 40 shops on the same street. But it's far far away Shanghai. Still if you do visit, I can give you directions, and I've seen all the stuff you are looking for.

The company below carries all types of pet supplies and ships to Shanghai but not through on-line purchasing. You must call 1-800-575-8475. They may not be the cheapest, but I have ordered from them in the past and found them to be very reliable. They also have a customer service button on their website if you have any questions.

hi thanks for the advice everyone! i dont go to hong kong for vacation or anything, but as my cousins live there i may go there some time in the future.
Mickey, for the website, it said location: USA at the checkout and it was fixed. I couldnt choose china. Im going to a few countries soon so i look out for turtle items there!
