30 gallon
A very small filter. Only cleans good for about 2 months if fed in seprate tank. The filter looks like it should be in a five gallon tank though. It cleans okay for a filter that small.

Overall 3/5

20 gallon
A HUGE filter. It looks like it should be in a 90 gallon tank. Not a 20. It cleans most of the crap on the bottom. 1 month runnin strong. Not noisy at all.

Overall. 4/5

If you have a 30 gallon and want a new filter but these two together. You will love them!

Take one and blackforce -- What ever you do. don't forget the water exchange should be at least 5 times the water that you have in the tank. When you get into the 20 or 30 gallon sizes, they are the suggested sizes for fish. They have no relevance to turtles. Turtles doo far more than fish and the fish sizing don't apply. Some pet stores tell you to double the size for turtles and that is not enough. Aside from that, they don't tell you how many fish and what kind!!

I acctuly feed them in a separate tank so there MUCH less waste.
