Equipment Review and Discussion :: New filter. How long untill water gets clear

I Have a new filter and I am wondering how long it will take for the water to get clear. I am doing 1/4 water changes every 3 days or so, but it is still not getting clear? am i just not waiting long enough for the bio filter to kick in... or what.

any help would be great.

It took mine almost 3 weeks before it got really clear.

Do no more than 50% water changes EVERY DAY it will take less than a week.

How large is your tank and what is the gph of your filter. Do you have any carbon in the filter? The volume of water and gph is important.
