Equipment Review and Discussion :: filter woes

Well i kinda had to shove the filter down on the rim of the rubbermaid. But, luckily it only makes it fit more snug. I'm using rubber tubing that i got from a local hardware store. I actually cut it shorter and put the end of the filter tube on it so it has small holes to pull the water in. Since i love to sit there and watch them swim anyway...I watched them both around that rubber hose and Leo was swimming really really close to it and his back foot got pulled in. So when i put the end piece of the hose on, Davinci could crawl right on top of it and not get stuck. I also cut the hose shorter to go more towards the bottom of the water. I love the new setup and we even got some feeder fish today. I figure they will survive longer with plants and that log to hide in, especially with 2 huge fats ones (pregnant) in there.
