Hello, I was wondering if you guys could help me and Zeke with a bit of a problem that's developed in Zeke's Tub. I recently acquired Zeke through a friend who could no longer take care of him and as such was the case, did a bit of research on what sort of enclosure Zeke would need. I was surprised to find out the requirements for Zeke where very staggering than what I had initially had thought. To that end I went out and tried to get him a more suitable habitat till I can afford to get him the tank he deserves. That being said I was wondering if you guys could help me troubleshoot a problem I have with a Aqua-Tech 30-60 Gallon Power Filter I bought from Walmart. Its not the best filter out there but for the initial budget I have it was doing well in the 45 gallon tub I picked up from Walmart as well.

(* I know what your all thinking , I'll eventually get him decent equipment but I didn't exactly plan out where this was all going to go initially)

Here is a video of my problem:

As you can see, the Water is literally trickling down from the filter than compared to the pictures I took a while ago:

I checked the Intake tube and I couldn't find anything clogging it, the impeller seems fine, the filter media isn't clogged or anything, yet it trickles down.

Any Advice?

Also, Zeke doesn't seem to like me yet

It say's it uses a cartridge for the media.. can you take it out and see if the flow returns?

This may sound dumb, but is your filter level? I have this problem when my filter is not sitting perfectly level on the tank. There's usually a plastic piece that comes with the filter, usually attaches to the bottom to keep it level. I'm not familiar with that particular filter, but my I keep fish and my aquaclears all have it. You can also try placing something between the tank wall and the filter wall to level it.

Thanks for responding, I took your advice and as the video shows, I believe its not leveled liked you guys suspected. I'll return it to how it was and see if it improves. Before it was against the wall and I'm guessing that's what kept it leveled. I'll post a video after I move it around some.

Good observation Vear! I've only used submersibles in tubs, so this wasn't an idea that had crossed my mind.

Yay! That's great! I keep fish as well, and one of my aquaclears refuses to stay put... lol. So this is what it looked like. I'm glad it worked :)
