im currently running a zoo med 501 canister filter. previously had the reptofilter and the fluval u2. i have a 10 gallon tank right now. for some reason the zoo med and the fluval didnt suck up tiny debris left from food! it would suck in almost microscopic pieces of debris, but the food will still be sitting on the other end of the tank.... the reptofilter did the job, sucked in big chunks of left over food and poop, i had thought that if i spent more money on a filter it would work better, but both the zoomed 501 and the fluval u2 hardly sucked anything in???
im not looking for anything huge as of right now, i just want something with sucking power to atleast take up debris... otherwise i might just have to go for the huge reptofilter thats rated 125 gph as compared to the smaller one which was 90 gph.....surprisingly the zoomed 501 was only rated at 75 gph only, and the fluval was at i think 105 gph....so what should i do!! anyone have the same experiences? thanks
