Hello, I just found about this forum and its pretty awesome.

So, I bought a floating corner for my RES and it seems like RESs cannot get on it :S. Does anyone have any ideas that can help? I was thinking about making a ramp for them, but then again my female is kind of heavy.

Once again, I am new to this forum and I hope this is the right section for this post.

I bought this one,

It was one of the cheap ones, probably why it doesn't do a good job? I had a stone cave before, but my turtles got to big. So, I decided to get something like this so I can raise the water.

mmm, is there not good traction maybe? Maybe they are just not ready to go on it yet? Have you watched them try to get on it, or just haven't seen them on it yet?

The small ones are afraid of it I assume and the female has trouble getting on.

well turtles sometimes take quite a bit of time to get used to a basking area... but if the larger one has trouble getting on it, sadly you might have to switch to something else. how does she have trouble getting on it? traction?

Yeah, I think I might get a better one for her and have two basking areas. And yeah, she she can't get a grip on the floating corner. I really hope my little guys start getting on it. Only basking area they have for now until I get enough money to get another one, or possibly build one when I have the time and money.

How big is she now? I've noticed that the smaller ones lack enough weight to create enough of an incline, making it unusable.

It seems like my big girl can get on now. Now, the little guys are having trouble getting on. My female is about 6"s and my little guys are about 3.5"s.
