i just bought a Exo Terra repti glo 10.0 compact 13W and it says ULTRA HIGH UVB OUTPUT and is a desert terrarium lamp is it ok for my :mrgreen: ? http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/co ... _bulbs.php

Should be OK, I think most people use the 5.0/26 Watt version. You might want to exchange it if you can; if not then make sure it's a little further away than what's recommended on the package.

OK i put the light 20inches away from my 2.3in turtle and how long should i on the light?

20" is kind of far, what does the instructions say?

20" is definitely too far. I keep myne about 10" from the basking area. As for how long i'd say from 6 to 10 hours.

i have move it to 12inch from my turtle but the light is not direcly shining at them iis it still effective?

These types of bulbs dramatically lose their effectiveness with an increase in distance or obstruction.

but now my both of my turtle eyes have like some black round things just like a panda eyes??

Had they been out of the water for a long time? It could be from dehydration.

Don't use it for a couple of days and see it goes back to normal.
