has anyone used the rena smartheater as the intake? i saw that u can do it. it says it frees up space in the tank and what not. but if u do done u stillneed to plug it in? sp it rly isnt free-ing up much space? and does the filter perform just aswell with it on?

also is the heater fully submersible

Looks like a cool concept but it acts like a prefilter too and it could be a pain cleaning out.
1 Mississippi Map Turtle 3.25'' (Landslide)
1 Ouachita Map Turtle 4.0'' (Hurricane)
The rest of the turtles have been adopted to good homes. :)
